I am Dave Bowatta, a photographer in Sudbury, Ontario. Most of my family sessions are outdoors, in the cold light and the wet air this city does so well. I do not stage you. I set up the light, say a few words, and then mostly watch while the children are children and the grown-ups remember they like each other.

You get a finished album of retouched, colour-graded photographs, not a folder of raw files. The look is the one you see across this site: quiet, a little cinematic, and warm where it counts.

Every season in Sudbury

Fall colour, first snow, the long blue evenings of January and the first green after the thaw all make good family pictures. Tell me what you want the pictures to feel like and I will suggest the season, the time of day and a place that suits the people in them.

Family and events sessions start at $590 before HST, down from $1,180, with the launch offer of 50% off until Dec 31, 2026. The total is confirmed with you before anything is booked.

One hour minimum. Hours and the number of images are set with you.
