Nickelfall is the photo and video division of Auxcura Inc., the company I lead in Greater Sudbury. Auxcura Studio sits beside it.

The photographs, the film and the finishing are mine from the first message to the last frame. Auxcura is the company that stands behind Nickelfall.

How I work

Four habits

The way a session is made.

01

Read the light

Cold light, wet air and one warm window. I plan every session around where the light will be good.

02

Stay out of the way

I am there for the whole day and you will barely notice me. That is the job.

03

Bring the light

Gels, light painting and long exposures. When the place has none, I set it up.

04

Finish every frame

Retouched, colour-graded and cleaned. I sit with each one until it is finished.
